On Tuesday afternoon the line to the door of Musée d’Orsay was plotted with many tourists. The line did move and we didn’t have to wait too long. When inside it took us almost four hours to explore the whole museum, and I have to say I really like the place. We weren’t allowed to take any photos of the paintings or sculptures, but to name a few there were collections of Van Gogh, Monet, Ganguin, Cézanne and many others. Van Gogh is our favorite and Musee d’Orsay has some of his original work, including the famous Starry Night. The sight of his paintings were fantastic. We love his style, and his work in our opinion is one of the best. It’s sad to know that this genius of a painter passed thinking otherwise.
The museum’s structure alone is an appealing sight. The inside layout is clever and nifty, and it is bigger than one would think at first glance. The clocks of the building were a popular sight and because these objects were one of the things people could take pictures of, shots were taken as if they were celebrities.
We really enjoyed our time there, and I have to say it’s definitely a must-see for those that haven’t yet explored this museum.
