Raspail Organic Market

It was a pleasure to have experienced Raspail Organic Market in the 6th arrondissement. And it was about time! We have heard great things about the market, and in our experience it didn’t disappoint. The market takes place every Sundays on Boulevard Raspail. The hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is the largest organic outdoor market we’ve been to in Paris. We were amazed by the selection of organics.

I made the mistake of letting us off the metro at Raspail when we needed to get off on Rennes. The Rennes stop puts you right there at the start of the market, while the Raspail stop is at the beginning of the 14th. We ended up walking a little bit before making it to the market.

Honey station. Honey in France is big, and we have had the pleasure to try out a few of the raw honey. They are the best we’ve ever tried.

I’ve waited a long time to try out the fresh squeezed orange juice at this station. Unfortunately they weren’t serving the bottled size anymore, but I gladly took their cup size. It was delicious!

Raw milk. No thank you.

We bought some “bad” snacks: banana chips and roasted peanuts.

Another bad treat? But SO worth it! I was in heaven to have found a vegan croissant! I bought one, and the lady gave me another one for free! Scored!

Enjoying my delicious vegan croissant!

We enjoyed the market tremendously and hope to go back once more before we leave. I tried showing a variety of pictures to paint a picture for those who haven’t been yet, but there’s so much more to see! They also sell scarfs, soaps, flowers and other tasty treats besides what I had shown. Check it out if you’re in Paris. The selection is quite impressive, and there is something there for everyone.

    • Hi Lisa! Thanks for the mention and read. I do recommend going there if you’re in Paris and get the chance to. Ah, I miss that vegan croissant. Yum. Btw, I like your itinerary. Prague and Zurich are both on my list too. 🙂
