We found a new favorite place to eat in Berlin that serves healthy and whole food. Fast Rabbit Fast Food is quite contrary to its name: Fast Rabbit is not fast food. This small vegan joint serves wraps that are called “dirty rolls”. These dirty rolls are quite simple and delicious, and what we love about it, besides being tasty, is that it has great flavors without the oil and salt that is predominant in most food when you dine out.
The menu is small, consisting of three different wraps to choose from: Oriental, Mexican, and a combination of the two. We went for the Mexican wrap, which has black beans, rice, jalapeno, cilantro, corn sauce, potatoes, lettuce and sprouts. The tortilla wrap used for these rolls are made fresh in-house. We witnessed the owner/chef roll out the doll with a machine, and then the tortilla was baked to perfection. I can’t say we’ve been to a place that’s made fresh tortilla to serve, so we definitely appreciate the freshness: it makes all the difference in taste.
Nick ordered the “Hungry Rabbit” combo: soup of the day, dirty roll, salad and drink. I ordered the smaller combo of that, which excludes the soup; however, I tried the coconut cauliflower soup, and it was amazing. The dirty rolls and salad were also delicious. And for desserts, we both ordered a fruity coconut, mango, apple cotton soft cake that had us moaning “yum”. Everything was superb, we’re surely going back to try the Oriental wrap and another soup of the day.
Fast Rabbit boldly claims that these dirty rolls are delicious as @#*!. We agree — it is indeed delicious as @#*!.
