Yesterday afternoon, we did a 7.3 mile hike starting from Pacific Palisades in Topanga State Park. On Los Liones Trail, we hiked through lush riparian canyons, then continued on an ascent on a fire road to Parker Mesa. The reward at the end of the 1292 ft. elevation gain was an overlook of the Pacific Coast. We stood at 1525 ft., gazing out inland and at Santa Monica Bay. We could have seen further out if it hadn’t been for the heavy smog hanging over greater LA. Despite so, we still enjoyed the view. It was a beautiful, warm sunny day in the eighties, and we had a great time being outside.
