To my readers with young children, I have a cute book to share with you. The UnPopular Pea & Carrot is a picture book that centers around main characters Pea and Carrot. They are unpopular next to their peers: Donut, Soda and Candy. The story serves as a fun way to teach kids what real, whole food is versus refined, processed food. In a cute and funny way, it helps children make better choices about eating. As an adult, I enjoyed reading through this short book, and the animations are just adorable. I think it’s a wonderful message and a great book for kids. I would surely get this for my child/niece/nephew if I was a mother or an aunt.
Below is more information about the book. It is written and drawn by Elle Valentine, and is sold online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. If you go here, you can preview and read it online for free as well!
