The Sky Garden building, also known as the Walkie Talkie building, is London’s highest public garden. This moniker was brought on because of its resemblance to a radio transceiver, and it was a challenge to build because of its unique structure, which was constructed of steel frame. To see the garden and fabulous views of London, we visited the last floor, number 35. From there, you can explore Sky Garden and get a bite to eat at the French restaurant or brasserie, or a drink at the City Bar.
Can you spot London’s different landmarks and buildings?
The sun played peek-a-boo on the day we visited, but it was dry and breezy. We remained outside during our visit for as long as we could before exploring inside. We had a 360 view of the city and it was pretty cool. Well worth the visit, especially because it is free!
If you’re in London and are interested in a visit, go to Sky Garden and book a time slot. It’s the only way you can visit, and there is limited space.
